Orbit First Step is the specialist low cost home ownership division of the Orbit Group and has approximately 2,700 homes across England from the North Midlands down to the South East and West.

Our focus is to provide low cost housing options for people who want to get a foot on the home ownership-housing ladder, this could be via our extensive Homebuy programme, key Worker Living Scheme, New build part buy part rent Properties or the opportunity to purchase an existing Shared Ownership property from its current owner.

Our priorities for 2004/05 include improving the quality of service to our residents and potential customers, to build on the findings an recommendations in the Housing Corporation Inspection report of 2003 and ensure equality and diversity issues are considered and reflected in all aspects of our work.
