Section 106 Agreements -
To comply with local planning policies, RSLs may have to make a payment to their local authority towards trees or green space that cannot be provided on the actual application site. In these cases, a legal agreement will need to be signed. The legal agreement must usually be signed before the planning permission can be issued and any payment will usually be due when the development is started.
These agreements will have effects on planning and scheme budgets, so it is very important that expert advice is sought prior to commitment.
